Product Introduction
The crossed cylindrical roller bearing consists of two rows of bearing raceways arranged at right angles to each other, each equipped with cylindrical rollers. The rollers are alternately oriented along the raceways and, in terms of cross-sectional height, slightly exceed the height of a single-row bearing. Moreover, the bearing’s inclination angle and conical geometry ensure that the load-carrying centers of the individual raceways are protected along the axis. Finally, the overall effective bearing span is many times greater than the bearing’s actual width.
Crossed cylindrical roller bearings can withstand high overturning moments and are ideally suited as turntable bearings for machine tools (such as high-speed vertical lathes, vertical boring mills, and grinding machines). These bearings are also well-suited for other applications involving space-constrained shafts and bases, or for situations where the center of gravity of the rotating component needs to be kept as low as possible.
